How to build your own support plan – new Hireup feature!

Build your own personalised Hireup support plan.

We have just released a brand new feature on Hireup – the online support plan. After lots of testing and consultation we have designed an online way for people looking for support to easily share their support requirements with workers.

We are incredibly excited about releasing this new feature. To us, it’s a great step forward in harnessing the power of technology to develop effective and supportive working relationships. For our users, it’s another way to exercise their choice and control. It’s their support, in their words.

Our support plan system is an easy way for people looking for support to share personal and important information about themselves and their working environment before a shift. And for support workers, having an easily accessible online plan allows them to feel informed and comfortable in the workplace.

Support plans can be easily accessed and updated through the Hireup dashboard at any time. They are private and only made available to workers when a user first makes a booking with them.

As with everything we do, the functionality of our support plan will continue to be developed as we hear how it is used by our community. If you have any feedback, please feel free to get in touch.

To build your own support plan as someone seeking support, follow the steps below.

Step 1

Click on the tab with your name in the top right corner of the dashboard and select “Support Plan” from the drop-down list.

Step 2

Click the “get started” button in the middle of the screen. You will then be guided through the questions. You can also navigate the questions in your own time by using the menu list on the left hand side of the screen.

If you’re a support worker and you’ve made a booking with someone, follow the steps below to see their support plan.

Step 1

From your dashboard, click on the name of the person whose plan you are looking for.

Step 2

From their profile, click on the “plan” button to the right of their profile picture and name. If you have any further questions after reading the plan, the best thing to do is contact the person directly via private message through Hireup.

    Albury and Wodonga? have you got customers now?

    • Hi Sylvia, sounds like you’ve had a great career in support work! Thanks for being in touch. We don’t operate support houses, we facilitate one-on-one support work relationships between workers and people looking for support. This can be in the home or in the community. At this stage we don’t have a network of users in the Albury Wodonga region. That said, we’re growing quickly and advise people who are interested in working with us to register on Hireup and keep an eye out for people signing up in your area. There’s no sign up fee or obligation to work once your profile is up and running. If you know of other people in your area who might find Hireup useful, we can also help you bring them onto the platform. This is a great way to start building the networks in your area.
